Community Matters

We recognize that no success is had without the contribution of the surrounding community. ESR founder Ethan Stowell has built community support into how he runs the restaurant group and works to bolster Seattle as a whole—from people experiencing homelessness to local politicians to children's hospitals, with ESR donating over $250,000 in time, materials, and money each year.

ESR is dedicated to building up our communities and neighborhoods. Through dedicated volunteer events such as our ESR Team Service Day, we help organizations including Tilth Alliance at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands with improvement projects while also harvesting food for local food banks. Through fundraising initiatives such as our annual ESR Holiday Ornaments sale we raise funds for partners including Mary's Place in support of their No Child Sleeps Outside campaign.
